We’re working on it…

Cars Connected was originally perceived on Thursday, October 1st of 2009. The next day, the domain name carsconnected.com was purchased. The site was originally run on social networking software very similar to Facebook.

On December 31st of 2011, I decided to shift most of the attention from the “web” and go mainly “mobile” with apps for iPhone and Android smart phones. After several months of planning and strategizing, app development began on July 8th of 2012.

On August 28th of 2013, Cars Connected was approved in Apple’s App Store – though iOS 8 came about shortly after and that meant lots of code changes. On February 4th of 2014 – Cars Connected was officially approved for iOS 8 – and we consider this “day one” of our new automotive social network.

On December 31st of 2014, Cars Connected was approved in Google Play. Since then we’ve lightly marketed both versions to get real world testing before going full blast in the second quarter of 2015. Until then we’re working on making improvements to stability and user experience as much as possible.

It’s taken well over 5 years bringing Cars Connected from concept to reality. I hope you download the app, use it and enjoy it. While we do have a website at carsconnected.com for a “desktop” experience – the final design has not yet been implemented. We’re working on it…

The car enthusiast passion defined.

I’ve been spending a majority of my time on the weekends going around to local car shows and capturing the diverse car scene in South Florida for Cars Connected. It is amazing to see the level of passion that us local enthusiasts have for this hobby. We spend countless hours working on our cars through blood, sweat and beers only to wake up early Sunday morning to share our automotive endeavors over coffee. It’s a passion that few understand but the beauty of it is that anyone can appreciate a well-crafted automobile.
